Dolapo, I love your fashion sense, your style is so faistatnc. This past April 12, 2012, I engaged in marriage to my husband who is from the Ivory Coast, we are so happy. Let me just say you are truly a diva and I admire you. I have learned a lot from your videos. I want to prepare for my first visit to Africa, my husband Mr. Diakite is the president of the Grand Triangle, Inc., a nonprofit 501 (c)(3 ) international organization based in New York. The Grand Triangle, our NGO, endeavors to help repair tarnished image of the black continent in the collective subconcious and honor the memory of millions of people who have fallen victim to the yoke of slavery during the painful period of the triangular trade. In this framework, we propose to participate in the development of Africa through the establishment of specific programs in the field of archeological tourism in the indentification, restoration and promotion of coastal sites (Gore in Senegal, Boke in Guinea, Cape coast in Ghana, Ouidah in Benin, etc) that have been a part of this tragedy. We are sponsoring The TRIANGULAR CRUSADE in September 2013 as a kind of historic crusade tracing the route of slaves, but in an atmosphere of celebration and trade under the theme of remembrance, forgiveness and forgetting. This event conveys a message of humility and tolerance of the black continent to all mankind, Europe and America, particularly. This project will include participants who are descendants of Emporers, Kings and Queens of the slave era as we aim to revisit, in a positive way, the history of the triangular trade in today's world. This crusade will also be an opportunity for African envoys; to meet with the descendants of the victims of trafficking; economic operators; civil society; international institutions; and policy makers of the host countries as an expression of FORGIVENESS for the wrongs done to their ancestors by way of the collaboration of black rulers with slave traders. To others, this historic event will transmit a message of friendship to strengthen cooperation and exchanges with the Mainland on this new launch. In our concept of the event, the cruise ship wil be a true floating continent of Africa where we will also present and globally publicize a selection of books and films, with photos that have immortalized the institution of slavery. The image to be used on the sides of the ship will symbolize the setting of African forests and shrub lands which are emblematic of the environment from which were taken. Having already received the cooperation of some African Kings to the project, we solicit UNESCO'S patranage and others to assist us in this initiative and help facilitate sponsorships. Let us know what you think.
